Little Boy Blue
Remember the poem, Little Boy Blue? Well, I do. I used to deliver this poem on stage during one of the programs when I was still in prep. And now it’s Jeremy’s turn to deliver same piece for their literary fest in school. Eliminations will be the Friday after the sembreak. So tonight, I was coaching him on how to deliver it, with actions and all… I personally chose the piece since its shorter, gives me a nice idea on the props to make, and most of all, as I said earlier, I delivered it before, this time I’m handing it over to Jeremy, some sort of a " pamana " kind of thing, hehehe. So the stage mother in me was so in the mood, when Jeremy had his own version…
The original version :
LITTLE BOY BLUE
Little Boy Blue, come blow your horn,
The sheep’s in the meadow, the cow’s in the corn.
But where is the boy who looks after the sheep?
He’s under a haystack fast asleep.
Will you wake him?
No, not I - for if I do, he’s sure to cry
Jeremy’s version ( I don’t know if you’ll laugh at this, but it sure is funny. hahaha! )
LITTLE BOY BLUE
Little boy blue
Come blow your horn
The sheep’s in the meadow, the cows in the corn
But where is the little boy who looks after the sheep?
(In his attempt to answer the question above…the following lines were his own making…hehehe )
He said " I don’t know, uuhmmm, there’s nothing there
or maybe he is under the boat,
Or maybe he under the beans, that of Jack and the Beanstalk…
Or let us just ask Little Girl Pink where he is…
Oh, Little Girl Pink, have you seen Little Boy Blue… and so goes his story
*** new characters were added to somehow give spice to what we’re used to, hahaha!
…wala lang just posting to brighten our days
